Jan Workman

Pastor Jan came to CLA in August 2008. She is originally from Western Pennsylvania, but has spent over two decades ministering to children in churches in New England, and other parts of PA, and additionally served as lead pastor at a site church in Red Lion, PA. She is credentialed with the Assembly of God, served on the Penn-Del District Children’s Ministry Committee, and continues to study Bible and theology courses.

Pastor Jan’s passion is pioneering and outreach. She enjoys creating and implementing new ministries and seeing them grow God’s Kingdom. This has happened many times during her years of children’s ministry, and she has created different venues in which children can use their gifts and talents for the Lord.

“Kids can be used of God. There is no such thing as a junior Holy Spirit, only THE Holy Spirit. If we see kids only as sponges (only “soaking up”) without the ability or capacity to give, then we limit them and we limit God.”

Jan’s heart is to see children serve in ministry and to take ownership of their relationship with Christ to see them reach their family, friends, and neighbors.

Pastor Jan’s Secret Life Ambition: Refurbish an old barn or church and live in it
An interesting fact you may not know about her: She held the .5 mile record in track in high school for 17 years and didn’t know it until the day it was broken!
