Information for Our Guests
Thank you for taking infants and children elementary school age and under to Kids Town. Our Kids Town classes and services provide a fun and well-supervised environment geared especially for children. Please note: If you have a child with special needs or behavioral challenges, please inform a main entrance Welcome Center Assistant. Every effort will be made to help your child have a meaningful experience in Kids Town today.
Please complete the "New to CLA?" card located in the pew in front of you (or under the pew in the front row of each section) and place it in the offering bag. This helps us know how to better serve you.
Stop by Café Connections to receive a welcome bag, a coupon for our cafe, and answers to your questions about our church.
As our first-time guest, please do not feel obligated to give in today’s offering.
Medical personnel are standing by during each service. Should you require medical attention, please contact the nearest usher.
We ask all attendees to turn off their cell phones during our services.
If you would like spiritual advice or prayer, we invite you to come to the altar.

Our Final Quarter — Couriers Book Available — In their recently published book, the Original Couriers have chosen to tell their story of over 50 years of ministry. Rev. Dan Betzer says about them, “They blazed new territory for Southern Gospel Music in the northeast United States. They sang the Gospel in nations all over the world. They were among the first to champion the Gospel on regular television. And they have done so with unfailing dignity and class.” Books are $17.00 each and are available at the Media Store after both morning services.
Forever Young — November 18 at 6:30 PM in the Christian Life Center — “Thanksgiving Celebration” — The menu: a Thanksgiving dinner with all the trimmings! Our special guest is vocalist Frances Drost! Give someone a blessing and invite them to this celebration of Thanksgiving. Please sign up on the Event Registration and place it in the offering or at the kiosk.

Parents Meeting — Monday, November 17 — We invite all parents and others who are interested in obtaining more information about Frequency Youth. Pastor Jeff will be discussing future events, programs, and classes offered in 2009. The meeting is in the Youth Center at 7:00 PM.

Scrapbook Friday — To reserve your spot, fill out the Event Registration today and come on Friday, December 5, to the Women’s Plaza from 5:00-11:00 PM. Knit, Crochet and Give Away Life Group — Can you knit or crochet baby blankets and senior lap blankets? Do you want to learn how? Join this Life Group in Room 316 (location change!) on Tuesdays at 6:30 PM. We have lots of donated yarn in child-friendly and adult colors for you to use! If you can’t come on Tuesdays, contact the Women’s Ministries Office to pick up some yarn and return your completed blanket(s) to the Women’s Plaza. Grow your personal relationship with God and transform every aspect of your life and every hour of your day. If you dare, join our class, your life will never be the same. Each week during this series, ManZone will feature relevant Bible study, Small Group interaction, team competition and activities.
Big Serve Christmas Projects
This year, we’re going to Change the World with five fantastic Big Serve Christmas Projects. We are asking everyone to get involved and give to at least one project if you are able! For more information on how you can become involved please email Rachel Gaumer at rgaumer@christian-life.com.
Christmas Gift Shoppe and Party! — Share the love of Jesus with needy Harrisburg church families on December 13 by providing gifts for their children to open Christmas morning! These are single parent families struggling and we would like to bless them. Most will not experience Christmas without an outpouring of love and time from CLA. A total of $4500 is needed, but only $1710 has been received. We also need over 100 volunteers for this event. Sign up today on the Event Registration, or get involved by placing your donation in the offering or in either Communication Drop at the Welcome Centers. We need to hit our goal before November 23 so don't wait to be a blessing.
SoloParents — We have received the money needed to bless our SoloParent families with a $50 gift per child, per household. Thank you for your donations.
Christmas Cards & Gifts for Missionaries — You can bless the 165 missionaries we support by remembering them with a greeting card this Christmas. We would like to send a Christmas gift of $50 to each of our missionaries. Of the total of $8,250 needed, $5,487 has been received. To give towards these gifts, please mark “Missionary Gifts” on your offering envelope. Please do not send money directly to the missionary. You can pick up a list of our missionaries and their addresses at the Missions Kiosk.
Christmas Toy Trade & Giveaway! — Bless a child and clear out good but no longer used toys! Bring your good, clean used toys with all the pieces and parts to CLA on Sunday, December 7. You can also donate much needed volunteer hours on any of the three days of the Trade (sign up on the event registration). We need sorters, organizers, receivers, prayer partners and hospitality workers. Toys are needed for infant through young adult children.

Gloria: A Christmas Experience Tickets — Usher in the holiday season on Friday, December 19 @ 7:00 PM with Travis Cottrell, Shaun Groves, and Cindy Morgan along with the Christian Life Choir. Come early to enjoy the Christmas Experience, and bring your 1st-6th grade children to enjoy the Kids Town Christmas Experience; free child care will be provided for those under the age of six. Tickets are available at the ticket center today, online at www.christian-life.com or by calling the ticket line at 717-737-1887. Please note we still need volunteers for this event: Ushers, Greeters, Parking Attendants, Security, Refreshment Attendants, etc.
