New to CLA?

Thank you for taking infants and children elementary school age and under to Kids Town. Our Kids Town classes and services provide a fun and well-supervised environment geared especially for children. Please note: If you have a child with special needs or behavioral challenges, please inform a main entrance Welcome Center Assistant. Every effort will be made to help your child have a meaningful experience in Kids Town today.

A Middle School service for students grades 6-8 is offered at 11:00 AM in the Youth Center (during 2nd service)

Please complete the "New to CLA?" card located in the pew in front of you (or under the pew in the front row of each section) and place it in the offering bag. This helps us know how to better serve you.

Stop by Café Connections to receive a welcome bag, a coupon for our cafe, and answers to your questions about our church.

Visitors: As our first-time guest, please do not feel obligated to give in today's offering.

Medical personnel are standing by during each service. Should you require medical attention, please contact the nearest usher.

Our Prayer Partners are available to pray with you after the service, down front and at the exit doors at the top of the balcony.

Parking: On Sunday mornings, the East (main) parking lot exit is a right turn only and the West parking lot exit is a left turn only.

Weather Cancellation Information — If there is a change in our service schedule due to inclement weather, tune in to these stations for information: Television - CW15, CBS 21, WITF 33, FOX 43; Radio - 580AM, 1390AM, 90.3FM, 96.9FM, 97.3FM and 99.3 FM. Service cancellations will also be listed on our website at www.christian-life.com and the voice mail system at 717-737-6560.

Take 5 — Prayer is one of our Core Values here at CLA, and we're encouraging everyone   to take at least 5 minutes to pray during the day throughout 2010. Today, you're invited to Take 5 minutes at the end of the service to pray about the needs in your life, the church, community and world! Feel free to pray at your seat, at the altar or in the prayer areas in the balcony. Prayer Bookmarks are available for you to write down your top prayer requests and are located at the Welcome Centers, the altar and in the balcony.

Holy Week Communion Service: The Crown of Thorns — Join us on Wednesday, March 31 at 7:00 PM for a family communion service. Children Kindergarten through Sixth Grade can join their parents in the Sanctuary, or parents can join their children in Kids Town. The same message will be shared in both venues, adjusted in Kids Town to the children's level of understanding. Nursery will be available up to age 5 and Frequency Youth will still be meeting in the Youth Center.

Easter Sunday, April 4 at 8:00, 9:30 & 11:15 AM — Celebrate the Resurrection with inspiring music and the dramatic visual message, STONES!

NOTE: All Sunday AM Life Group Adult & Youth Classes, Kids Town Connect, and Fusion Middle School Service are canceled on Easter Sunday.

Dedication of Children — Today, we are happy to dedicate the following children to the Lord: Brianna Elizabeth Lambert and Mason Richard Lambert, daughter and son of Richard and Georgette Lambert; Chelsea Ann Rhoades, daughter of Joe and Kandice Rhoades; and Julianne Mae Thompson and Isabelle Rae Thompson, daughters of Mark and Beverly Thompson.

We extend our sympathy to Beth Hunter on the loss of her father, Medo Medellin on the loss of his brother, and Nikki Vorkapich on the loss of her stepfather.

CDL Licensed Drivers Needed —
We are running a courtesy bus for our seniors on the East parking lot for the next several weeks. In order to be able to maintain this benefit to our congregation, we need CDL drivers who are willing to serve others in this capacity. The time commitment is 30 minutes before and after one of the Sunday morning services. Forever Young Dinner (50 And Older) —
The Forever Young “Birthday Bash” Dinner will be held this Tuesday, March 16, at 6:30 PM in the Christian Life Center. We’ll enjoy ham with pineapple glaze, oven roasted red potatoes, green beans and rolls. Please bring a warm side dish or seasonal salad. This month, a Cake Decorating Contest will provide our dessert for the evening! Please sign up on the Bulletin Registration and place it in the offering, or stop by the Forever Young Kiosk in the Lobby.

CLA Annual Blood Drive —
Did you know that you can literally save a life with your donated blood? The Central Pennsylvania Blood Bank staff will be waiting to care for you next Sunday, March 21 from 8:00 AM -1:00 PM in the Youth Center Atrium. Women's Softball 2010 Season —
Monday, March 22,  attend the information meeting in Room 304 at 6:00 PM if you’re interested in playing Women’s Softball this season! Choose from two teams, competitive or recreational. The CLA Men's & Women's Golf League is now forming
Play is on Mondays at the Valley Green Golf Course in Etters, PA. Registration is now open, but will close at the end of a general league meeting at CLA in Room 704 on March 23, 6:30 PM. Your $40 registration fee, which includes the first week green/cart fee, must be received by March 24 in order to participate in the 2010 Golf League. Thereafter, green/cart fee is $20 weekly. If you are unable to attend the March 23 meeting, please send your registration fee to Mike LeVan, 680 Ridge Road, Lewisberry, PA 17339. Men’s Softball Registration —
Softball season 2010 is just around the corner! All players are required to fill out a registration form, which is available at the Tri-Panel Information Displays. Place your completed form, along with the $80 registration fee, into the Communication Drop located at the East and West Welcome Centers. Registration deadline is Sunday, March 28. Membership: Discovering CLA —
A 4-week Membership Class will be held on Wednesdays, April 7, 14, 21 and 28 at 7:00 PM in Room 702. If you are interested in membership at Christian Life Assembly, here is your opportunity. This class will help you understand CLA’s beliefs, purpose, ministry structure, and will give you the opportunity to meet many of our ministry leaders and pastors. Women's “United For A Purpose” 2010 Spring Event! —
Get together with your Godly girlfriends and attend this year’s event on Saturday, April 24 from 9:00 AM-1:00 PM at Glad Tidings Assembly of God in Middletown. Get involved in the “Fashion Show for a Purpose" by modeling and/or donating an outfit for purchase. Monies collected will be given to this year’s special project, Home of Hope-Texas; a home being built for victims of human trafficking. The cost is $25, which includes lunch. Capital Area Pregnancy Center Baby Bottle Drive! — Next Sunday, March 21, is the deadline to return your filled baby bottles to the East or West Welcome Center! Thank you for helping the Capital Area Pregnancy Center reach the greater Harrisburg area with the message of life! Contact the Women’s Ministries Department at 717-635-7228 for additional details.

Change the World Summit 2010 — The Change the World team will be hosting a thirty minute informational meeting in the Women’s Plaza next Sunday, March 21. We invite you to attend the first service, join us in the CLC in a reserved location for lunch at the missions dinner, and then attend the meeting from 11:45 AM-12:15 PM in the Women's Plaza. This will be a time to learn more about missions and our 2010 BIG Serves. Please RSVP through the Bulletin Registration or contact Rachel at 717-635-7253 or rlee@christian-life.com by March 15.

Volunteers Needed for Easter Sunday — We are in need of four men that would be willing to assist as parking attendants on Sunday April 4 between services. The time commitment is from 10:00-11:30 AM. We are also looking for eight individuals to serve as hosts for the 9:30 or 11:15 AM Easter Services. Hosts help guests with direction and answer basic questions about the church. The time commitment is 30 minutes prior to the service. Training will be provided in advance. Haiti Donations — Due to a new Haiti Assistance Income Tax Incentive, you can deduct qualified Haiti relief contributions made between January 11 and March 1 on your 2009 tax return. To request a statement of donations made for Haiti relief efforts, please contact Sharon at 717-635-7236.

Celebrate America 2010 Vendors Wanted — Are you looking for a venue to display and sell your art, handcrafted jewelry, pottery or other wares? Celebrate America is coming on June 27, and we are incorporating an Arts & Crafts Fair into this year's event. If you would like to be a vendor, or know a vendor outside CLA who may want to participate, email your name and contact information, a brief description of your art or craft, and your vendor name to Rachel at rlee@christian-life.com. The deadline for submission is April 30. Accepted submissions will be notified by May 15. There is a small rental fee for participation and table space.

Dream Center Meeting — There will be an informational meeting Sunday, March 28 from 12:30-1:30 PM in the Youth Atrium for those applicants going to the Dream Center, LA. Bring your deposit and all necessary paperwork to ensure your participation in this trip.

Young Adult Men
— If you'd like to join our young adult men’s softball team this summer, pick up a registration form from the Tri-Panel Information Displays and write “Young Adult” on the form. Frequency Missions Dinner — Next Sunday March 21, 10:45 AM-1:00 PM in the CLC.  Thank you so much for coming and supporting us at our last missions dinner. Each student raised close to $100! They are still working hard to raise the funds they need for the various summer missions trips to the Netherlands, Los Angeles and Nicaragua. Join us next Sunday for our featured menus of French Toast (10:45-11:30 AM) and Chili with Mac and Cheese (11:30 AM-1:00 PM). Cost is by donation. Bring your friends and family to a great meal for a great cause!

Youth Convention 2010 — April 1-3 —
With communicator Scotty Gibbons and worship with Worth Dying For, this is going to be an unforgettable weekend! Cost is $120 which includes your ticket into the event at the Giant Center in Hershey, hotel stay at the Sheraton and transportation. To secure your spot, turn in your completed registration form and minimum $60 deposit by March 24 to the Student Ministries Kiosk or at Frequency. Wake Up! Spring Retreat — March 19-20
We are so excited to announce our first middle school retreat for 6th-8th graders at Camp Hebron in Halifax, PA. Our own Pastor Jonathan Coad is the retreat speaker. The weekend will include J-Jam games, a bonfire, pizza party and much more! Cost is $45. To secure your spot, turn in a minimum $25 deposit with a completed registration form TODAY at the Fusion Middle School Service or the Student Ministries Kiosk. Kids Town Easter Survey —
Parents, please help us by filling out the Easter Sunday Services Survey, which is available in the Kids Town Lobby. This is a quick survey that will help us know which service you and your children will be attending on Easter Sunday. We are anticipating a large overflow of children that day, and this information will help our workers be prepared.
