The Joseph Project

"Pay it Forward"

“Have them gather all the food produced in the good years that are just ahead and bring it to Pharaoh’s storehouses. Store it away, and guard it so there will be food in the cities. 36 That way there will be enough to eat when the seven years of famine come to the land of Egypt.”
- Genesis 41:35-36

With the above scripture in mind, CLA wanted to create a program to help distressed families in times of crisis.  The Joseph Project is an avenue to aid with basic life necessities (utilities, transportation, medical assistance, appliances, etc) when individuals go through times of difficult financial hardship.  Anyone who attends CLA for 6 months or more and can show hardship can qualify for this program.  The maximum limit of lending is $2500.00.  An individual/family may receive help in the course of the calendar year a maximum of one time.

The concept of this Project was born out of the realization that tough times are ahead and we need to be a financial resource to our people.  This Project is funded completely through the benevolence of people at CLA and the individuals who receive funds are asked to “pay it forward” to the next individual in need.  We want to continue a cycle of blessing one unto another.
Welcome to the Joseph Project- Be Blessed!
