M.O.P.S.

If you are a mother with children infant through kindergarten, you’re invited to participate in our exciting MOPS program on the first and third Thursdays of the month to receive encouragement and support.

MOPS stands for Mothers of Preschoolers. Our MOPS group at CLA is a part of MOPS International, which exists to meet the needs of every mom - urban, suburban and rural moms, stay-at-home and working moms, teen, single and married moms - moms with different lifestyles who all share a similar desire to be the very best moms they can be! MOPS recognizes that the years from infancy through kindergarten are foundational in a mother-child relationship and are filled with unique needs.

We are one of more than 3,400 MOPS groups that meet across the United States and in 33 countries around the world. MOPS groups meet regularly to celebrate the joys of motherhood and to encourage each other through the challenges.

What Is MOPS?

MOPS is a non-denominational outreach to mothers with children from birth through kindergarten that provides an open, caring, and accepting atmosphere where woman can come together to share this important season of life.

MOPS meets moms where they are, and offers instruction and nurturing in a relaxed atmosphere of caring, sharing and fun!

MOPS is primarily led by the mothers themselves with the addition of "seasoned, veteran" moms.

We have a lot to offer today's moms so check us out and please contact us if you are interested in becoming a part of our next semester:

MOPS Fall 2008 Semester -  Adventures in Mothering

This theme equips moms to learn more about themselves as they go through the adventure of motherhood.  The metaphor for this year’s theme is an amusement park; motherhood sometimes feels like a sensory overload.  Throughout the adventure, MOPS is there!

Fall Semester begins Thursday, September 4 through December 4 from 9:00-11:15 AM (1st and 3rd Thursday of each month) (Cost: $35.00)

Registration begins Sunday, July 13 – Deadline for Registration:  August 24

Spring 2009 Semester begins January 15.  Watch for details!!

MOPS Library

Help MOPS build a resource library to provide women with the support they so desperately need.  Donate your gently-used books on mothering, marriage, devotions, or bibles, so that women can be encouraged during their adventures in mothering.  To make donations, contact Gina at 717.761.2651.
