Support Groups
Victory Seekers is a Bible-based, interdenominational, compassionate ministry that reaches out to those living with cancer and chronic illness. A confidential, safe environment is maintained in order to explore the full meaning of the experience of “illness” with all its spiritual, emotional and physical implications.
The meetings are facilitated by Cheryl Lehmann, RN, who has lived victoriously with Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma since October of 1994. Cheryl has an excellent knowledge base of the conventional and alternative treatments available. "I would have fainted except I believed to see the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living. Truly His joy has been my strength. Even cancer must bow at the name of Jesus. I live with a humble heart of praise and thankfulness to God and all my church family for their loving, prayerful support," testifies Cheryl.
Cancer is no longer a death sentence. Over 8.9 million Americans have survived this disease. Everyday life for those with chronic illnesses can become extremely challenging. Many people live with hidden disabilities. The fatigue and pain caused by disease is often hidden from people who see them. They often hear discouraging comments like, “But you look so healthy, how can you be sick?” This group provides encouragement, “humor therapy,” education on biblical healing and on current health issues. We sing praises to the Lord, and have such wonderful support as we travel along our healing journey. Come learn how you can live victoriously through the Lord Jesus Christ in spite of these diseases.
Victory Seekers takes place the first Wednesday of each month at 7:00pm in CLA room 302. (See a campus map)
